I was in a lecture when i decided to play some music from spotify while the prof was screen sharing a video. But then the spotify sound was so muffled, which has never happened before. Then suddenly the spotify sound went perfectly normal but then till this day i can’t hear anything when someone’s screen sharing.

I can hear perfectly fine if they’re talking through their mics but i can’t hear anything from the screen shared. I’ve been looking everywhere for help so please help me with this.. I am having the same issue. I have checked the “Sound Share” box in the lower left hand of the share screen. People can hear me talking through my mic, but not the music when I play it from YouTube.

I know this is a few months old but I have just spent some time dealing with this issue for a customer, and wanted to share the solution that worked in my case. The problem turned out to be to do with the Realtek audio device driver.

Open device manager and Open up “Sound, video and game controllers” and right click on the Realtek item underneath and choose uninstall. If you see a tickbox that says to uninstall device drivers, check it. Then click uninstall, and reboot.

Windows will reinstall the audio device, and in my case this completely fixed the problem. Zoom Community. Supporting a Hybrid-friendly Work Environment Explore products and tools for seamless collaboration across office and home working spaces.

I use to record videos where I am the only person talking, sometimes sharing screen, sometimes only taliking without sharing screen or document.

I tried several times with sharing screen and without sharing screen and all of them is the same, no audio only video. I uninstalled software and installed again, and tried as well several times only talking and others sharing screen and it is the same.

It sounds like either your mic was muted in zoom app, your headset was muted hardware button , or most likely your Zoom app had the wrong microphone selected possibly the built-in mic or headphone jack so nothing was bing picked up. Most likely cause is the wrong mic being selected, or the mic being tied up by another app. Then go to audio settings in the Zoom App and test mic.

Why cant i hear my zoom audio – why cant i hear my zoom audio:. Common Zoom problems and how to fix them

Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn’t help. My computer is acting very strange. When I go into the control panel, I have two headsets show up. If I try to set this as the default, I can not hear anything else while the zoom meeting is running, the test tone will not play, and the volume mixer simply will not work.

If I set this as the default device, however, all my problems are solved except that the audio quality is very poor and there is always static in the background. I don’t think there is any solution to this, just wanted to let you know in case my headphones are bad or this is not supposed to happen. Edit: the “stereo” headphones bring up the quality significantly and the volume mixer works with it but only when I’m not in a zoom meeting. When I am in a zoom meeting, I am unable to hear anything except for the audio from the meeting. This does not mean that I cannot hear other participants in the meeting, just that if there is another app with audio playing at the same time, I cannot hear it.

I don’t know anyone else with this problem and can’t find any help on this issue on the Zoom help website. I use a Bluetooth headset, and all my drivers are up to date. I can hear sounds from other apps only when I am not in a meeting.
